I'm decluttering to start the new year.
After taking loads of books to the library, I threw out stacks of journals and notebooks. If I were a famous writer, I could have received millions for the material from a university library.
I'd grown tired of waiting for Emory or Harvard to call.
Welcome back, Nancy.
The adults have fled the Trump White House, so thank goodness Nancy Pelosi's returned as speaker of the House. At Pelosi's jubilant first day back in power, before a fresh and energetic corps of young women resplendent in styles glowing like early spring flowers, she appeared more in charge than any of the grumpy middle aged GOP men glowering in their seats, hunched into their drab suits.
Bevo gets Trumpy
I'm surprised that Trump hasn't cited Bevo the Steer's lunge at Uga as showing the need for a strong wall. The University of Texas' longhorn showed his ire at the University of Georgia's mascot before the Sugar Bowl, in which Texas upset Georgia.
A deal worth millions
Publishers Weekly bought the Millions, cutting further into the number of independent book web sites. Literary Hub, with its bloated stories and treacly features, is owned by a publisher. Don't worry, Southern Bookman remains independent, unless we receive an offer we can't refuse.
